Cottage Garden, Truro

This Truro garden project transformed an unused lawn area into a colourful cottage-style garden, creating new planting space, structure and year-round interest.

Before

The lower end of the garden was largely lawn, with no real focal point or defined planting areas. The space had plenty of potential but lacked colour, shape and character.

During

We removed the turf from the lower section of the garden to create new flower beds, then prepared and turned the soil ready for planting.

Using the plants already supplied by the client, alongside additional recommended varieties, we created a layered cottage-garden planting scheme designed to establish and fill out over time.

After

The finished garden is now a much more inviting and characterful space, with new flower beds providing colour, texture and a clear focal point. A layer of wood mulch was added to help retain moisture, protect the soil and support healthy plant growth.
